Discovery Menu 6 Course - Voyager Estate, Margaret River

This lunch was amazing. We had booked the estate tour, tasting and 6 course discovery menu at the Voyager Estate. Unfortunately, the day we visited it poured with rain all day long so we were unable to do the tour and tasting (which we were refunded). We were sat by the window overlooking the vineyards entrance in plush armchairs in a warmly decorated drawing room. Our waitress, Sandy, was fantastic. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about the wine and food. The food was unbelievably tasty and one of my favourite degustations. The wines paired beautifully and we got to taste different vintage wines side by side with the same dish to enable us to compare and taste the differences. I have noted the dishes above however I would point out the cauliflower soup and the duck as my favourite dishes. The cauliflower soup was creamy, somoth, spicey and warming. The duck was cooked perfectly and the vegetable dust made the dish fun; you added you own choices to each piece (or the whole dish) to change the overall flavour to your own palette.

I don't want to spoil any more surprises but the menu follows the journey of the estate.

I would highly recommend taking time out of your Margaret River trip to enjoy an afternoon of delightful dishes and wines at Voyager Estate.
