This simple dish is my favourite breakfast and the dish I chose as my Christmas Day breakfast this year. It's simple, luxurious, delicious and best served with a chilled glass of champagne.
Toast a sliced bagel. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on both sides and pepper (don't add salt - it doesn't need it). Add pieces of pulled apart smoked salmon and a light squeeze of lemon. Add as much or as little caviar as you like... now devour!
If you would like to go all out, add a poached egg on top and let the delicate yolk fall over the bagel.
