James Estate - 2012 Petit Verdot

This post is a little different. In September 2012 Stephen and I visited the Hunter Valley. The trip was our first "wine tasting tour" and let's just say we don't remember much. However, what I do remember is tasting a full, rich and meaty Petit Verdot. Until this day, I couldn't remember the vineyard it came from and after searching many a wine shop shelf I had been unable to find a pure Petit Verdot that wasn't mixed with another grape. Then, when I started this website, I realised google photos was my friend and something in my mind clicked that this beautiful wine was from James Estate. Hopefully we will make it back there to try it again!
