Vasse Felix - 2014 Blanc de Blancs

Good for: celebration

We had this sparkling wine on Christmas Day before lunch and it was perfect. This is definitely not anything like a champagne or prosecco and sits firmly in the sparkling wine category. Imagine a light, fizzy, lemony, chardonnay and you're pretty much there. It has a creamy finish which when paired with the fine bubbles is fun and moorish.

Vasse Felix is a well known staple in not only Margaret River but the entire Australian wine industry however this was the only wine we tasted that we really enjoyed. The whites were ok and we actually disliked the reds however the majority of people I have spoken to really enjoy their wines, so as always - each to their own!
