Emilia Trattoria, Melbourne

I have been to Trattoria Emilia a couple of times now and every dish has been fantastic. It is real, homecooked Italian food where the pasta is al dente and the sauces are full and flavoursome. Both times I got their antipasti misti and both times were slightly different but just as delicious. Each piece comes out in it's own bowl or plate for you to share amongst your group and whilst it's not the fancy presentation you get in other restaurants in Melbourne it is delicious and filling.

The most recent time I had their pasta of the day which was a potato ravioli with bug and lobster in a butter sauce. Oh, it was to die for. The bugs and lobster were perfectly cooked, the butter provided a generous covering but didn't drown the food and the ravioli was soft in the middle with a slight bite to the pasta.

I would highly recommend going to Emilia Trattoria for a hearty, real Italian meal.
