Gilbert by Simon Gilbert - 2016 Pinot Grigio

Good for: drinking, light food

I bought this whilst in the Blue Mountains and the winemakers come from nearby Orange. You can really taste the fresh pears and it has a crisp, light feel with a slight tang of sharpness. It is a great summer wine, perfect for a bbq, salad at home or lazing by the pool. Very light in colour but is not a watery pinot grigio as it still has a real depth of flavour.
